This is a cute beach outfit, maybe a shopping outfit at the beach. I love the tank top under tied shirt. And am I the only person who still wears white keds? I LOVE them!

Thankful Thursday

I'm so thankful for the wonderful 10 day vacation that could literally have not come at a better time for me! Now I feel refreshed and don't mind getting back into the routine. 

I wish I had more picture to share from our trip but I'm terrible at remembering to take them.We enjoyed a nice week at Myrtle Beach with the Hohmans. This was the view from our balcony on the 11th floor. It was gorgeous! After seeing rain was in the forecast the entire week, we got pretty lucky and only got rained on twice. 

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to spend the week with this little cutie. 

While his Mommy and Daddy attended a wedding on the trip we got to keep him all to ourselves! He was a perfect angel! Josh was hoping he'd be more trouble for us so I don't start to get any ideas just yet :) 

The four of us were able to go out for a night and Lindsey and I had our first experience of "bar hopping". Our favorite place was the Dueling Piano Bar. If you've never been to one you are missing out! It was such a great time! 

Best part of the trip was our timing! Coming home and still having a 3 day weekend is the way to go!!

3 days and counting...

This past week has been even crazier than I thought it was going to be. But just 3 days from now it will all be worth it when we're relaxing on the beach!! 

Better Late Than Never!

I may be a couple days late but I guess there's nothing wrong with showing appreciate for your Mother any day of the year! You may think you have the best Mother in the world, but I know I do! Ok, so I think it's fair for lots of people to think that. Unfortunately though there's a lot of people out there who know they don't have the best Mother in the world. I feel bad for those people because I couldn't imagine anything but a solid relationship where I'm shown every single day that I am loved by her. She has always let me know how proud she is of me. Some kids will go their whole lives longing to be told this and they never hear it. As proud as she is of me, I am just as proud of her. Every person has a choice of what kind of parent they will be, no matter what your circumstances are. I know as long as I follow in her footsteps my kids will feel the same way about me as I do about her. I love you Momma!

Thankful Thursday Link Up

I am thankful that in one week I'll be packed and ready to go to Myrtle Beach and come next Saturday will be laying out at this pool! I just have to make it through 6 (long) work days! I have 3 events in the next 8 days, don't ask me why I scheduled that many so close together! The next 8 days will be incredibly stressful but I just have to remember there's a 10 day vacation waiting for me at the end!

Thursday Threads Link Up!

I'm so excited about joining Thursday Threads every week! I have seen outfit pins like this on Pinterest and now thanks to my friend Lindsey I know how to make my own! I'm loving mint green right now and grey has always been one of my favorite colors. I think they go together so well!

Yard Improvements!

I've been such a bad blogger the last week! It's been a crazy  busy week and I haven't been so ready for a weekend in a long time! 

Last weekend was very productive! While Josh went golfing on Saturday I made a trip to Pike Nurseries and Home Depot. I sent him a picture of my purchases, which probably terrified him!

Our backyard doesn't get much sunlight so I put some of my plants in pots that I can move to more sunlight when needed. 

I enjoyed being in our backyard and watching Josh cook us dinner on the egg with his new egg table.

Sunday Josh worked hard in our front yard and ripped out our ugly bushes. We replaced them with Knock Our Rose and Gardenia Bushes. I cant wait for them to grow!

We also added a Japanese Maple. I've always wanted one! 

Thanks Honey for working so hard to improve our home! 

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I know ours will be much more relaxing than last weekend!
